We spent 4 nights at Royal Mountain Campground and loved it!! It is relatively quiet (especially during the week), and the owners are super nice. The bathrooms and showers were very clean every day. The ice cream shack was just the cherry on top! It is centrally located to many fun things to do (bike, hike, visit museums and historical farms, drive into Albany, etc.).
Jun 22, 2025 · Jen DeeringThe extras at this campground are what make it stand out. Ice cream, food, RV’s to rent, cabins, etc. It’s like an all inclusive resort. But when we stayed there were a lot of barking dogs all day and loud groups of people around fires at night. You can tell this is the kind of place that has season long “regulars” and they act like the usual campground curtesy rules don’t apply to them.
Sep 22, 2025 · Bobbie ROnly stayed one night. Water/electric only, pullthrough. Nice campground with pond and trails in the woods. Bathroom was clean according to hubby. Has a great Icecream shop on premises.
Sep 16, 2025 · Susanne BoatwrightWe stayed here one night in October in a travel trailer while traveling coast to coast. This is a nice, quiet campground. I suspect it would be a comfortable, pleasant stay in the summer. The bathrooms/showers reminded me of Scout camp! They were very clean. The problem with traveling in October is it gets dark early and, therefore, we didn't arrive early enough to fully enjoy this campground. We did get a great rate, however. Perhaps one day we can return.
