Nice and quiet. Smaller side campground, but we'll maintained. Excellent access to stream fishing and walk out of the campground hiking, no need to drive. The road to enter and exist is narrow, with some places wide enough for only one direction of travel in the section. We experienced no on coming camper traffic but POV traffic is heavy on nice days. Dump station is located at park office a few miles away, so sludge caddy may not be very practical for anything other than truck bed hauling.
May 17, 2023 · Todd LeeGreat park with paddle sports access to Raystown Lake. No showers at camp ground. When we went there was no water available for tent camps. Rangers played a movie fir the kids on Saturday night. Fun spot
Jul 27, 2024 · Travis PidcockWe camped here was so beautiful and quiet we had beautiful bike rides and hikes.just extremely glad we didn't have to pass any other vehicles in or out very narrow road to camping area and usable water would have been nice
May 11, 2023 · Carla ShockLook. As state parks go, this is a good one. Trough Creek won’t blow you away or become a national park, but it’s a solid place with all the amenities you expect for car camping in a state park. Nearby hikes, cool natural features; it’s everything you can expect from a state park.
