Leading up to our stay at Uncle John’s, we had good communication and friendly dispositions from the staff. Unfortunately, the day of our arrival things took a turn, the staff contacted us and asked about our arrival time and had an unfriendly disposition. Upon our arrival, Uncle John was friendly and helpful in getting us to a site, yet the female staff was rude, crude and unwelcoming. The bathroom facilities were dirty, and appeared to have not been serviced all season. I’ve been on construction sites with Portapotties in better conditions. The site itself was nice and on a great creek for fishing.

We had a great & comfortable stay in cabin 9. For the price I have not found better. Grounds are very well kept. Fridge and microwave was clean as was the rest of the cabin. And to top it off, the owners are very friendly and looking for any way to make your stay enjoyable.

My wife and have been staying at Uncle John’s for over 5 years during steelhead seasons, spring and fall, John and Patty are the most welcoming of hosts and will do anything they can to make your stay comfortable, we stay in our own travel trailer so we do not have personal experience staying in the cabins, that being said we have talked to, conversed with, and fished with multiple people that did and can say that we heard no complaints about the cabins nor the staff, We will be back up again this season and look forward to staying.

Very Generously Sincere Host Patty and Uncle John are personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. Camper trailer sites are right along the Elk Creek River. You can actually look from your camper down into Elk Creek and see the shoals of trout and steelhead. Elk Creek is very clear no jagger bushes or twigs to get caught up on. Dog friendly. Water and electricity sites. Elk Creek is a tributary off Lake Erie. Lake Erie has the most incredible sunsets! Ask Patty about the waterfall’s location in the property. Plus a store that has the basic fishing needs. Pulling in you notice the children’s playground with a bouncy dinosaur and a caterpillar climbing tower. Patty and Uncle John sure leave a impression on you 💟
