I wanted to like this place based on other reviews, but I had a bad experience. I arrived around 10:00pm while traveling to Fort Collins, CO, payed the fee ($10 for tent camping) at the drop box and returned to my car to set up my tent. While I was pulling my camping backpack out, a female police officer drove up to my car, asking what I was doing here. After pointing out the sign and confirming this spot was for tent camping, she asked me for ID and accused me of being a murder... She never identified herself as a law enforcement officer. The campground itself is nice, clean, and has plenty of flat areas for tents. The bathroom was very clean. Due to my poor experience with what I assume to be a city police officer, I will never return to this city-run campsite or to this city ever again.
Aug 04, 2024 · David BartonNot a bad place to stay and relax or temporarily base camp, with you go out and explore Lincoln, for about two or three days. We recommend it. It's Family safe. There is fresh water and RV dump station. The sites only provide (3)50 & (9) 30 amp electric hook-ups. Plenty of room for pets to roam.
Jul 07, 2017 · Mister BeazPulled in here about 8pm on a Sunday and there was plenty of room. $7 tent and $10 camper. Electricity worked and there is a water spigot you can use. Bathroom is a portable. Grounds are nicely mowed and clean. I would stay here again.
Jun 05, 2017 · The Comando Bird KashThis campground is decent for a quick stay, but it could use some improvements. The lack of shower houses is noticeable, especially since there are no water hookups. Only porta potty avaliable that did not even have sanitizer. Gross. We visited in the fall, so it was quite empty, but I can imagine it would feel cramped if it were full. Overall, it’s a nice spot for a brief visit, but adding some amenities would enhance the experience.
Oct 22, 2024 · angieee mmmarieLoved the place! Simple and all you need for a stop on the road. Have cash to pay the camping fee. I would just be aware if it's going to rain or not as it's low to the river and you risk flooding.
