Services Offered

  • Manufactured Home Lots: Easy Living Manufactured Home Community provides dedicated lots for manufactured homes, allowing residents to place their homes within a structured community environment.

While specific services like trash collection, common area maintenance, or utility provisions are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, these are standard offerings in most manufactured home communities. However, a significant point of information regarding services comes from a prospective tenant's experience with Section 8 housing. This individual reported that while Easy Living acknowledged the Section 8 voucher as income, they stated they "will not accept payments from them." The reason given was a reluctance to "deal with the legal hoops they would have to go through and all the paperwork." This indicates that while the park caters to individuals seeking manufactured home living, their policy appears to exclude direct participation in the Section 8 payment process, which is a crucial consideration for potential tenants relying on such assistance. This suggests a limitation in the scope of financial services offered, specifically regarding government-assisted housing programs.

Features / Highlights

  • Perceived Safety: One resident's friend, Payton, lives in the community, and the reviewer states, "I've never been attacked while walking around at night here." This suggests a positive perception of safety within the community, at least from the perspective of this individual's visits.
  • Community Environment (Implicit): The reference to visiting a friend suggests that the park functions as a residential community where people can connect and reside.

It is important to acknowledge that the available features and highlights are primarily based on a limited set of reviews, with one being notably brief and indirect. The positive comment about feeling safe at night, while subjective, provides a glimpse into a potential positive aspect of the community environment. This can be a significant factor for individuals and families seeking a secure place to live. However, the more extensive review from a prospective tenant highlights a notable policy, rather than a physical feature or service. The park's reported stance on not accepting Section 8 payments directly, due to "legal hoops" and "paperwork," is a critical operational feature. While not a "highlight" in the traditional sense, it is a definitive characteristic of the community’s policy and an important piece of information for a significant segment of potential residents in Kansas. This policy shapes who can, or cannot, easily become a tenant at Easy Living Manufactured Home Community.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the provided information, there are no specific promotions or special offers explicitly advertised for Easy Living Manufactured Home Community. Manufactured home communities typically operate with established lot rental rates, which are influenced by factors such as location, lot size, and any included amenities or services.

The most significant piece of "offer"-related information comes from the prospective tenant's review, which details the park's policy regarding Section 8 housing. While they were approved for a voucher, the park stated they would not accept payments directly from Section 8. This is not a "promotion" but a clear policy regarding payment methods and accepted housing assistance programs. For individuals relying on Section 8, this policy effectively limits their ability to rent a lot, regardless of any potential promotional offers.

Prospective residents interested in learning about current lot rental rates, availability, or any specific terms of tenancy would need to contact Easy Living Manufactured Home Community directly. It is common for such communities to handle pricing and availability inquiries on an individual basis to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals

For Kansas locals, particularly those in or around the Lawrence area, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community presents a specific type of housing option. Its prime location at 3323 Iowa St in Lawrence is a significant advantage, offering residents convenient access to the city’s myriad amenities, including educational institutions like the University of Kansas, shopping, dining, and cultural venues. For individuals and families who value urban accessibility combined with the distinct lifestyle of a manufactured home community, this location is undoubtedly appealing. The anecdotal mention of feeling safe walking around at night also suggests a potentially comfortable and secure living environment for some.

However, it is crucial for prospective local residents to be fully aware of the community's stated policy regarding Section 8 housing. The feedback indicating that Easy Living does not accept direct payments from Section 8, despite potentially acknowledging the voucher as income, is a critical piece of information. This policy may make the community unsuitable for individuals or families in Kansas who rely on this form of housing assistance. Therefore, while the location and perceived safety are positive aspects, the suitability of Easy Living Manufactured Home Community hinges significantly on a potential tenant's financial situation and reliance on specific housing programs.

Ultimately, Easy Living Manufactured Home Community might be most suitable for Kansas locals who are seeking an affordable manufactured home lot in Lawrence, are not reliant on Section 8 for direct rent payments, and appreciate a location with good access to city amenities. For those who fit this profile, the community offers a chance to establish a home in a well-located area. As always, contacting the community directly to confirm current policies, availability, and to assess the environment firsthand is the best approach for any local resident considering Easy Living Manufactured Home Community as their next home.

So I was attempting to be a future tenant and I am on section 8 which I understand the bad rep we get but at the same time we are really good tenants we take care of our home. So after informing them that we are section 8 they told us that they would add the voucher we're approved for as our income but will not accept payments from them. The reason behind it was they didn't want to deal with the legal hoops they would have to go through and all the paperwork if you are section avoid them and report them

When they tell you how much lot rent is, you'd expect some kind of service to go along with it. Yes there's a poorly maintained pool, a tiny outdated park (also poorly maintained), a basketball court that seldom used. Water is constantly shut off for repairs. If you want to put a fence up for a pet or just added security, well you just can't do that. If you own your home, don't expect any kind of service from maintenance as they only cater to renters, even though we all live in the same community that management is oh so proud of. Was told by management after I informed them that our freeze plate on our water meter broke due to sub-zero temperatures, that maintenance would come out, thaw our pipes, and replace the plate. My wife was informed by maintenance that they don't do that for homeowners for whatever reason. There's a lot that goes into living here, mainly stress.

Just bought my home November 17th. Not even a week later we had plumbing problems. We had to fight with management to get that fixed. Now we just need everything else fixed. Had a set date and time for it all to be fixed and no response. Our 30 day warranty is around the corner. Do better Easy Living. Hire more people for the office or something.

It’s pretty grody. But okay for a trailer park. They fired a maintenance worker because he was black.
