Customer Reviews
Nice campground with shaded and flat campsites. Many spots are secluded but a few tend to be kinda close together. What stood out to me was the bew very clean bathroom shower building. Plus there are trails right off the campground overlooking the bluffs and Lake Pepin.
Great campground. $24 for non-electric per night, nice clean bathrooms and showers, in addition to private sites with plenty of trees. If staying on the weekend I suggest reserving a site because the ranger who got us our site said they were pretty booked on weekends.
Due to the construction the bathrooms and showers are closed. water is only available at the main check-in station to be advised you may want to bring your own water. campsites are close together but still we had a nice quiet experience. At least one of the scenic Lookouts was closed due to the condition of the wood.
Sites are a mixture of electric only and rustic. A few could handle bigger rigs over 30 feet. Dump station with fresh Water to full tanks.Brand new shower building in 2022. Office with some supplies open thr to mon. Lots of hiking trails, including the "go to" spot at Sand Point. Surrounding area has lots to explore with small towns and wineries.
Beautiful campground with an amazing outlook to Lake Pepin/Mississippi River. Close to Lake City and Red Wing. Campsites are very nicely wooded.
