This large, well-maintained campground is situated directly on the shore, offering many of its sites genuine waterfront access and picturesque views of the changing tides. Acknowledged by many local users as being perfectly positioned, Narrows Too serves as a premium base camp from which to launch all your Maine adventures, whether they involve hiking up Cadillac Mountain or simply shopping and dining in nearby Ellsworth.

Although some waterfront sites are noted for being quite close together, a compromise many happily make for the stunning views and stellar location, the general feeling among guests is that the value is well worth the price. The dedication to a complete camping experience, especially for those traveling with pets, makes Narrows Too a standout choice along the scenic Route 3 corridor.

We spent two weeks at Narrows Too Campground in early September 2025. The campground stayed busy, but it's wasn't packed full while we were there. The website and reviews talk about the waterfront campsites and impressive views, but that really depends what time of day it is. for example, when the water is up, there are GREAT views from the back of the campground, but when it's low, well the views aren't that good. The park is close to EVERYTHING Acadia and Bar Harbor, shopping and dining are close in Ellsworth, and Bangor is less than an hour away, so the location is FANTASTIC! The park is clean and well maintained and there are plenty of activities and amenities available, including a little store with some basic supplies. Some of the sites are a little tight, we pull a 35 foot travel trailer and with our rig pushed all the way to the rear of the site, touching trees, we still couldn't park in front of our rig. The big news here is the dog park. ITS AMAZING! In most places its an afterthought, but not here. It is huge and has activities for the dogs and even water! It seemed a bit pricey when we booked it, but after seeing other campgrounds in the area, it was worth it for what we got!
Sep 22, 2025 · Brian PolleyWe just left site 405 where we stayed for a week. We had a beautiful water view. Amazing! The sites are extremely tight in that area. I could touch my camper and neighbor- Arm to arm! Neighbors sewer at our door. We booked knowing they were tight for view. We didn’t have internet and no cable either- was an inconvenience. The campground was perfect for a place to sleep, no frills. If my Kids were younger they would have been bored in the campground. However much to do in the area and Close to everything. We loved Maine.
Aug 17, 2025 · Shannon GiordanoMaine has been our bucket list! Narrows Too was awesome! We were there for 10 days and loved it! Ride the Island Explorer instead of driving if you visit Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park! Bus system is AWESOME! Parking is crazy.
Aug 19, 2025 · Michael PittsExtremely clean and well tended campground. The pool is maintained and heated, which was divine. Barhrooms and showers were cleaned several times a day, service was irreproachable. The rustic cabins are perfect and roomy, great for us and our two dogs. There is also a full dog park on site!!! Access to the sea as well and only 20mins from Bar Harbor, at a fraction of the price. Absolutely perfect stay and will definitely come again.
Aug 22, 2025 · KateWe stayed at Narrows Too as part of our Trails Collection package. The campground staff were very friendly upon check in, and throughout our stay. There is a great bus system to access the National Park. The sites are ample size, electric checks good, adequate water pressure, and sewer connection well placed. The pool is heated, and well maintained. The views from the campground to the bay are beautiful to watch the tide come and go. At times you can spot Seals chasing schools of fish. The only knock I would have against this park is the WiFi is horrible, and cell reception is usually just one bar. Trying to accomplish just about anything online is nearly impossible. If you have Starlink make sure you bring it. This park is definitely on my recommended list.
