Its suitability for locals hinges on several key factors, while also acknowledging areas where prospective residents may want to conduct thorough personal inquiry.

The primary appeal for local Minnesotans often lies in the potential for a more accessible pathway to homeownership. In a region where housing costs can be significant, manufactured homes can offer a more budget-friendly entry point to owning your own dwelling. This allows residents to build equity in their home and enjoy a sense of stability, often with lower monthly housing expenses compared to conventional mortgages or even market-rate rents in the same area. However, it is crucial for local Minnesotans to consider that the quality of maintenance and management responsiveness can significantly impact the living experience, as indicated by public reviews. For potential residents, this means that while the community offers the fundamental benefits of manufactured home living in a convenient location, it is vital to perform thorough due diligence. This includes visiting the park, observing the condition of common areas and infrastructure (like roads and drainage), and engaging directly with management to understand their commitment to maintenance and communication protocols. By doing so, Minnesotans can make an informed decision about whether North Star Estates aligns with their expectations for a well-maintained and responsive community, ultimately determining if it is the right fit for their long-term housing needs.

Would rate zero stars if possible. The pictures are the norm in this park. These are taken from my deck of my driveway. This has happened every single time we get a good rain fall. I complain to the office and they say its the city's problem. I call the city and they say its the parks problem. No one wants to fix it. It has cost me 2 vehicles. They have rusted out and needed to be junked. Thus is an absolute joke!

Have lived in this park since 1985 and now for the past few years it's being going down hill both crime and extreme lack of management caretaking when it comes to street potholes, plowing ect.. Tom the park manager needs to be replaced by someone who can do the job correctly and within a timely manner. Have tried communicating with the park and all i ever get is a..we are on it, but then months go by and things still don't get done and when something finally does, it's a bare bones lowest bid poor job. If you can avoid coming here do so.

Enjoy having your rent jacked up by at least $25, every single year, with no additional benefits to show for it. The managers like to close the playground at the drop of a hat, typically because some teenager used a naughty word - like that was somehow my five-year-old's fault? I literally waited 3 years for them to fix the light outside my house - and received nastygrams about once a year about how I needed to replace the bulb. On the other hand, it's a nice little community full of pretty good people. So it's got that going for it.

Lived here for over 20 years. It was a nice place to grow up, but its gotten bad in the last few years. Theft and vandalism is super common now. Someone let the air out of my tires several times, stole my license plate, stole gas from my mother's car, put a nail in the side wall of my mother's car, stolen shovels and so much more. The rules for parking aren't enforced regularly. Its supposed to be 2 cars per drive way but more than a dozen homes pull up their drive way or park in their yard to let a third car in, most of the time still sticking out into the street. Speeders are common, too. People will go 20 or 30 mph and the speed limit is 10 mph. A plus side is rent isn't too bad and most of the neighbours keep to them selves. There is a playground and small basketball court for kids. They also have a storm shelter so that's a win for safety. They are also a little forgiving when it comes to being late with rent. The manager is super nice and friendly, but the owners are making him manage two parks so its hard to get a hold of him. The people who do maintenance suck at their jobs, and they don't know how to plow snow to save their lives. You have to shovel five feet past your driveway to get your car out. The paths they make would hardly fit two smart cars, let alone two normal size ones passing each other. all in all, if you're like 50 with no kids at home, this place is for you

Tom in the office is great I enjoy talking to him.love him fishing tips. Lot fee is low and the yard is a good size. The streets are plowed and salted.yes some people do park on the Street all night but Tom will work with you on that.the only thing I had a problem with were the three kids that ran in my yard and broke my night light for the drive way and Tom took care of that. I'm on a fixed income and I pay lot rent on the 3rd of the month with no late fees. We don't have a mortgage we were able to pay for our great home in full. We went on vacation and as we were driving through the passes of Idaho we get a call from Tom greeting the newest members to the community to me it just felt like you are home. And the community is great and very quiet. We love it here and we aint going no where
