Scarlett Knob Campground Inc, consistent with its more rustic and privately managed nature, focuses on providing value through its unique camping experience rather than publicly advertised seasonal "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. Their pricing structure reflects the type of amenities offered and the private, wooded setting.
The key "offers" or value propositions at Scarlett Knob Campground are:
- Consistent Pricing for Rustic Experience: The campground likely maintains a clear, straightforward pricing model for its sites (tent, electric RV) that reflects the cost of providing well-maintained, secluded, wooded sites with basic but clean facilities.
- Value in Seclusion and Privacy: For campers who prioritize peace and quiet, and a natural setting over extensive amenities, the inherent "offer" is the unique, private, and relaxing environment, which is often harder to find in more commercialized campgrounds.
- Proximity to Ohiopyle Attractions: The value of staying here is significantly enhanced by its immediate proximity to Ohiopyle State Park’s free natural attractions (falls, bike paths, hiking trails), allowing campers to maximize their outdoor adventures without additional travel costs.
- Personalized Service: The demonstrated willingness of staff (like "Candy") to accommodate guest requests (e.g., changing sites) can be seen as a form of "special service," enhancing the customer experience beyond a simple transaction.
- Affordable Showers: While pay showers (25¢ / few minutes) require quarters, they offer an economical way to access hot water, which can be a valuable feature for budget-conscious campers.

Customer Reviews
Beautiful wooded sites. Gravel, nice hand stacked stone fire pit for an enjoyable fire. Quiet and private during the week. Nearby OPSP bike path, falls and several amenities in Ohiopyle. Kind of strict with 11 am checkout. You MUST BE GONE BY 11 or they will charge you for that day too. We like to have the leaving day as our pack up ready to go. Everything is away, unplugged, we literally are sitting playing games at the table. But we couldn't do that and the attitude was pretty rigid . There were many sites open around us . Rules are rules but I think check out should be 1-2. These sites are no fuss. Pay showers are 25¢ / few minutes so bring quarters. And it's nice to have 30 amp for our little camper but there is not a dump station for sewage / grey water. We have been here 3 times now. It was relaxing and a good place to camp if you like more primitive wooded sites.
We had a great time! Our site was secluded and we had a port a john close by. I loved that the firepits were rocks and not metal rims. Bath/shower house was clean and did the job. Thank you Candy for being so nice and letting us change sites after our arrival! We also loved the office cat Chaos! We will be back! Thanks again for a great experience!!
Super friendly people run this campground. We came in on an October evening and we had the place to ourselves. The sitesare beautiful and spacious. We used the pit toilets and they were very clean for what they are. No road noise just nature sounds. Super peaceful after a long drive from Northern Illinois. If we are back in the area again we will defintley camp here.
Came here this weekend and had a great time. Very quiet campsite. Much more spacious than the state campsite up the road. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely be coming back.
It's an okay campground. The bathrooms and showers are atrocious, and I wouldn't go in a vehicle that doesn't have four wheel drive because you won't be able to get up the hills if it's muddy. But it is in a beautiful area and the staff were very kind. I would've rather pooped in the woods than used their latrines, and the showers required you to use a quarter, (which would be fine) but they don't work. I followed the directions to a T and it just ate quarters. The sites were very cute and ours had a cool fire ring made out of stone. But the sites were packed very closely together and I felt like I was surrounded by 6 other campsites within 30 feet. I won't choose to go here again but if it's the only open campground in the area I would go again. I just feel like for 35 dollars a night they could have better facilities.
