Introduction / Overview
For Minnesotans seeking the perfect balance between immersion in nature and the comforts of a high-end retreat, The Grove Glamping in Battle Lake offers a truly exceptional experience. Glamping, a portmanteau of "glamorous camping," is an increasingly popular way for locals to enjoy the peace of the Northwoods without sacrificing a comfortable night's rest or convenient amenities. The Grove Glamping is not just a place to sleep; it is a meticulously "beautifully designed and maintained" oasis on five wooded acres, crafted to be "So SO clean and relaxing," according to guest reviews.
Located strategically on the edge of the highly regarded Glendalough State Park, The Grove positions guests for immediate access to some of Minnesota's most pristine landscapes and water recreation. It features five premium, high-end canvas bell tents, each furnished to feel more like a well-appointed room than a typical campsite. This focus on luxury and convenience—with features like real queen beds, ambient lighting, and dedicated outdoor space—has earned it rave reviews, with guests "very highly recommend a stay here over and over." Whether it’s a romantic escape, a solo retreat, or a vibrant "girls weekend" renting all five tents, The Grove Glamping is recognized as a local "gem" and an "amazing" location for connection and adventure in Otter Tail County.
The local ownership, with the host being a Battle Lake native, further enhances the guest experience by providing insider tips and a personalized touch, ensuring every visitor can make the most of the area's lakes, trails, and charming nearby town. This combination of a luxury stay and proximity to raw natural beauty makes The Grove Glamping a unique and highly desirable destination for Minnesota residents.
Location and Accessibility
The Grove Glamping boasts a location that is both secluded and supremely convenient for outdoor adventurers. Its address at 23895 Stony Point Rd, Battle Lake, MN 56515, USA, places it right in the heart of Minnesota's celebrated lake country, Otter Tail County.
The most significant locational advantage is its position "on the edge of the coveted Glendalough State Park." Guest reviews confirm it is "Steps away from Glendalough State Park," providing virtually immediate access to the park's nearly 2,000 acres, over nine miles of undeveloped shoreline, and six pristine lakes, including Annie Battle Lake and Molly Stark Lake. For Minnesotans, this proximity means easy, daily entry to exceptional hiking, biking, and non-motorized water activities like canoeing and paddleboarding, which are a hallmark of Glendalough. In fact, a short walk from the property leads to a creek that allows guests to portage a paddleboard or kayak directly into Molly Stark Lake and Glendalough State Park.
Furthermore, The Grove is just a short drive from the quaint and vibrant town of Battle Lake. This accessibility allows guests to enjoy the serene wilderness while still having convenient access to local eateries, unique shops, and other small-town charm, such as booking local services like a morning yoga session. The entire property is nestled on five wooded acres, ensuring a private and tranquil base camp for all adventures. Access to the site is straightforward via well-maintained local roads, though the setting feels perfectly remote.

Sep 23, 2025 · Cheri BatesBest Weekend! We rented all five tents for a girls weekend and couldn’t have been happier! This place is amazing! We biked, we floated, we laughed, we reconnected and also enjoyed morning yoga (booked through a local yoga studio Jens Zen Den)! Heidi was so easy to work with and very helpful! We highly recommend booking some time at this gem!!
Jul 29, 2025 · Pam KurtzI hate camping, but I LOVE this place!! it would take three paragraphs to go into all the smart intuitive attention to detail and aesthetics. It is also the first place I’ve stayed that actually had enough if not more than enough pillows in the right shape shapes and sizes for me!! Anybody who knows me knows this is shocking. Bugs are not a problem in the tent, and the tall oscillating fan in the tent could be moved with extension cord out of the deck to keep bugs off of you if the breeze dies down while you sit and relax or eat outside. Speaking of the fans… I’m extremely picky about fan noises and if there’s a rattle or too high-pitched of a sound I absolutely CANNOT sleep, these fans have a light lower sound that is extremely relaxing. The only thing I needed for myself for sleeping was an eye mask due to our early morning Minnesota sunrise rises. Beautiful biking, lakes, and tubing down rivers and streams nearby with an a 10 minute walk or 2–10 minute drive. My kids loved the hammock area that is kept set up in a cluster of trees. *Each tent comes stocked with service for four dishes, and could you imagine a more beautiful place to wash dishes than the picture posted?! Also, restrooms are super cute, not outhouses at all, two private toilets and two private shower rooms with eucalyptus hanging to send to your shower. Bed linens did not smell strongly like detergent.
Jul 15, 2025 · Alexia SuiterThis place was soooo amazing!! We did a girls weekend (10 of us) we had the whole place to ourselves since we rented all 5 tents. The beds were SO comfortable! The place was adorable and has so many things to do in the area! A great place to make memories with great friends and loved ones. We would definitely go back!!
Jul 25, 2025 · Julie WeinzierlA beautiful place. The string lights around the tent , hammocks, comfortable bedding and the fire place we enjoyed it all. The bathrooms were extremely clean. My son was ecstatic to make s'mores during the nights and he enjoyed the lazy river and see minnows swim around. Thank you Heidi for letting our family make beautiful memories.
