Greg's Mobile Home Services About

For many Oklahomans who own manufactured homes, or are considering purchasing one, having access to reliable and professional mobile home services is crucial. From initial transport and setup to ongoing maintenance and repairs, these specialized services ensure the comfort, safety, and longevity of your home. Greg's Mobile Home Services, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is one such provider aiming to meet these needs within the local community. Understanding the scope of services offered by companies like Greg's is vital for mobile home owners seeking expert assistance.

It's important to approach any service provider with a clear understanding of their offerings and past customer experiences. While businesses strive for positive interactions, feedback can vary. Greg's Mobile Home Services is noted for its presence in the Tulsa area, catering to aspects of mobile home installation and maintenance. For locals, this type of specialized service is an integral part of the mobile home ownership experience, connecting them with professionals who can address the unique requirements of manufactured housing.

Location and Accessibility

Greg's Mobile Home Services is located at 2626 S 177th E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74134, USA. This address places the business in East Tulsa, a bustling area with good access to major roadways, allowing the company to serve clients efficiently across the metropolitan area and potentially beyond.

The strategic positioning in Tulsa means that Greg's Mobile Home Services is accessible for both clients looking to visit their office (if applicable) and for their teams to dispatch to various mobile home parks and private properties within and around the city. Major highways such as I-44 and the Creek Turnpike are typically within a reasonable distance, facilitating the transport of mobile homes and equipment across the region. This accessibility is key for a service-based business that often needs to travel to customer locations, ensuring they can reach mobile home owners across diverse areas of northeastern Oklahoma in a timely manner. For local Oklahomans, knowing that such services are centrally located can provide peace of mind when planning their mobile home projects.

Services Offered

Based on the nature of "Mobile Home Services" and insights from customer reviews, Greg's Mobile Home Services appears to offer a range of specialized services critical to mobile home owners. It is important to note that specific details beyond what is inferred from the name and reviews are not publicly provided, so direct confirmation with the company is always recommended for precise service offerings.

  • Mobile Home Moving/Transport: This is a primary service indicated by reviews discussing the "moving my home" aspect. This involves the specialized transport of manufactured homes from one location to another, requiring specific equipment and expertise.

  • Mobile Home Setup/Installation: Following transport, mobile homes require proper setup, including leveling, anchoring, and connecting to utilities. The review mentioning a "partial job" and "left the home completely without skirting" implies that setup and potentially skirting installation are intended services.

  • Skirting Installation/Repair: Skirting is an essential component of a mobile home, providing insulation and aesthetic finish around the base. The negative review explicitly mentions being left "without skirting," suggesting this is a service Greg's Mobile Home Services typically provides or is expected to provide.

  • Deck Removal (and implied reinstallation): The act of removing a front deck before moving a home, as described in a review, indicates they handle structural disassemblies related to home transport, with the implied understanding of subsequent reinstallation or repair.

  • General Mobile Home Repair/Maintenance (Potential): While not explicitly detailed, "Mobile Home Services" often encompasses a broader range of repairs and maintenance tasks specific to manufactured homes, such as structural adjustments, minor exterior repairs, or utility connections within the home. However, given the focus on moving and setup, these might be secondary or referral services.

Features / Highlights

When evaluating a mobile home service provider like Greg's Mobile Home Services, potential "features" or "highlights" often relate to aspects of their operation, customer interaction, and specific capabilities. Based on the provided information, the following can be considered:

  • Specialized Expertise in Mobile Home Transport and Setup: The very nature of the business name and the services mentioned (moving homes, dealing with skirting, decks) indicates a focus on the unique requirements of manufactured homes, suggesting specialized knowledge in this niche.

  • Local Tulsa Presence: Being based in Tulsa, OK, Greg's Mobile Home Services is a local provider, which can be advantageous for residents seeking convenient service within the metropolitan area.

  • Relationship with Dealerships (e.g., Palm Harbor): One review mentions, "They work for Palm Harbor." This suggests that Greg's Mobile Home Services may have established relationships with significant mobile home dealerships, potentially indicating their role in new home deliveries and setups for these entities.

However, it is crucial to address the significant concerns raised in the customer reviews, as these represent important feedback for potential clients:

  • Concerns Regarding Follow-Through and Completion: Multiple reviews indicate issues with completing jobs as agreed ("partial job," "left them hanging," "never called them again"). This suggests potential challenges with project management and commitment to full service delivery.

  • Customer Service and Communication Issues: Reviewers express dissatisfaction with communication ("he quit on me anyway!!," "impossible to deal with," "never called them again," "not compassionate"). This points to potential difficulties in client-service provider interactions.

  • Quality of Workmanship Concerns: The specific mention of "cut the legs with a chainsaw" for deck removal and "cheaply made cabinets and floors falling apart" (though the latter might refer to the home itself rather than services provided by Greg's) raises questions about attention to detail and professional standards during related work.

Prospective clients should consider these varied points carefully and prioritize direct communication to clarify service expectations and ensure a clear understanding of the scope of work before engaging.

Promotions or Special Offers

Information regarding specific promotions or special offers for Greg's Mobile Home Services is not publicly available in the provided data. Service-based businesses like mobile home movers and installers typically do not run frequent, publicly advertised promotions in the same way retail businesses might. Their pricing is usually based on the scope, complexity, and distance of the service required.

However, when inquiring about services from Greg's Mobile Home Services, prospective clients might consider asking about:

  • Detailed Quotes and Transparency: While not a "promotion," a clear, itemized quote for services is crucial. Understanding what is included in the "full job" versus a "partial job" (as mentioned in reviews) and ensuring all aspects like skirting and deck reinstallation are clearly defined in the quote can help manage expectations.

  • Payment Terms: Inquire about payment schedules. Are partial payments required upfront, and when is the final payment due? Understanding this can help prevent issues where work is reportedly left incomplete after payment.

  • Warranty or Guarantee on Workmanship: Ask if there is any warranty or guarantee on the services provided, particularly for installation and setup. This can offer a level of protection if issues arise post-service.

  • Preferred Client Programs: If the company frequently works with certain dealerships (like Palm Harbor, as mentioned), inquire if there are any specific benefits or streamlined processes for clients coming through those channels.

Given the negative feedback regarding communication and job completion, it is exceptionally important for any potential client to engage in thorough discussions and obtain a detailed, written agreement for services before committing.

Well I called them about moving my home n had it all set up...my friend let me know about their reviews and I messaged him about them then we talked on the phone about it and I was understanding about how people can get, but he quit on me anyway!! I personally would not use this company because it's misleading and not compassionate at all...I was going to give them a chance even though my friend told me about the reviews. Don't waste your time or energy because you'll be let down in my opinion.

This sorry excuse for a mobile home service left my elderly parent hanging when they moved their mobile home. They did a partial job when they were paid t do the full job and never called them again. They left the home completely without skirting right before winter. When they removed the front deck before moving the home out, they cut the legs with a chainsaw so now I'll have to replace the entire 4X4 to get the deck back to it's original condition. They work for Palm Harbor so unless you're getting a home from Palm Harbor you should just go with someone else. I intend to visit Greg's in person to try to resolve this. I will update with very specific information after I attempt to resolve. Please read as this company will leave you hanging after they get your money. Sorry excuse for a mobile home service unless you're a huge dealer.
