Location and Accessibility

My Place at North Hill is conveniently located at 504 N Main St #33, Yale, MI 48097, USA. Yale is a small, welcoming city situated in St. Clair County, in the "Thumb" region of Michigan. This location places the mobile home park within a peaceful, small-town setting, while still offering reasonable access to larger communities and essential services in the surrounding area.

The address on North Main Street positions the park directly within Yale, meaning residents are within easy reach of the town's local amenities. This typically includes local shops, eateries, schools, and community services. For more extensive shopping, dining, and healthcare options, residents can access larger towns and cities within St. Clair County, such as Port Huron, which is a manageable drive away. The rural yet accessible nature of Yale offers a tranquil living experience without feeling entirely isolated from modern conveniences.

The location in the heart of the "Thumb" provides opportunities for enjoying Michigan's natural beauty, including access to nearby recreational areas, farming communities, and the broader St. Clair County landscape. Services Offered

  • Lot Rentals: My Place at North Hill primarily offers lot rentals for manufactured homes. Residents own their homes and lease the land, a common model that typically provides a more affordable path to homeownership compared to purchasing a traditional stick-built house.
  • Community Management: The park operates with an owner/management team. While one review describes the owner as "very kind," another suggests that "the owners are up your ass about everything." This indicates a hands-on management style, which can be seen as either attentive or overly strict, depending on individual preference. It's crucial for prospective residents to understand the park's rules and management approach.
  • Maintenance & Upkeep: Implicit in any mobile home park is the management of common areas and infrastructure. However, one review noted that "some of the old trailers you can buy have black mold from the roofs leaking over the years." This suggests that while lot rentals are offered, the condition of pre-existing homes for sale within the park should be thoroughly inspected by potential buyers.
  • Utility Access: As with most mobile home parks, individual lots are expected to have connections for essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity. Residents are typically responsible for setting up and paying for these utilities separately from their lot rent.

Features / Highlights

  • Quiet Place: A significant highlight, directly from resident reviews, is that My Place at North Hill is a "Pretty quiet place." This indicates a peaceful living environment, which is highly desirable for many seeking a respite from urban noise and activity.
  • Nice/Friendly Residents: Reviews mention "Nice residents" and "very kind" neighbors. This suggests a generally friendly and welcoming community atmosphere, which is a key factor for a positive living experience in a mobile home park.
  • Community Interaction: While one review noted that "Many neighbors are right up your butt," this could also be interpreted as a closely connected community where residents interact frequently, which some may find appealing for fostering strong neighborly bonds.
  • Owner Presence: The direct involvement of the owners, as mentioned in reviews, means a visible and active management presence. While this has led to mixed feedback, it does indicate that management is actively engaged in the park's operations.
  • Affordable Living: The fundamental appeal of mobile home parks like My Place at North Hill is the opportunity for affordable housing and a more economical path to homeownership in Michigan.
  • Established Community: As an existing mobile home park, My Place at North Hill has an established infrastructure and potentially mature landscaping, providing a settled environment.

Pretty quiet place. Nice residents, but the owners are up your ass about everything. I personally wouldn't live there. Some of the old trailers you can buy have black mold from the roofs leaking over the years.
