Customer Reviews
This park is amazing! It's kept so nicely. The shower houses are large clean and hot. Beaches and marinas are cared for. Friendly hosts and staff. It's quite large and not as hard to get a spot as it is at many of our other parks. Great trails and things for kids to do. Nice dog park.
The showers are clean, but they need updates badly. This is a huge park. Some of the spots are full hookups, check beforehand. Unless you fish or hike, there isn't much to do. You really have to drive to do anything. It is a beautiful park. The receptionist at the front gate was very friendly. The camping host at Campsite G, not so much. No internet, and you can only get three antenna stations, and they are spotty. You can drive into Cambridge, but there really isn't anything going on there.
Our first time camping here with our dog. The camp sights are spaced out nicely, clean, the shower houses excellent, shading from trees is minimal unless your in C section or in G right by the bathrooms, the trails are wonderful, the campers we came across were respectful and we had no issues with dogs barking or off leash. We definitely saw the park system patrolling. Definitely would camp here again.
Beautiful state campground! Our site was in the 'F' loop where the sites are huge. The roads are paved, the grounds are very well maintained, sites have asphalt pads and some have concrete patio/pads. We stayed in a site that did not have any trees because we wanted to use our telescope at night (it was very dark). There are sites that have shade. There are hiking trails that are easily accessible from the campground. We will be back for sure!
Beautiful campgrounds. Plenty of space between sites. It's quiet and feels safe. Well maintained. Shower houses were clean and smelled of bleach. Campgrounds has a variety of activities to keep everyone busy.
