Great park from the army corps engineers..still working on upgrading it like cement pads and planting tree's..The biggest problem cement pads not level!!! You think they would make them level spending all of our money 🤑 🤑. SEE them in pictures.. Most be a DEI grad right out of college, doing the engineering work. ??? but they say it's level with the ground?? I say tax dollars at work..... Other than that it's a great park, beautiful, and quiet. nice walking trails. Has some tent rentals set up in the back overlooking a small pond. Has a good bath house and Laundromat. Has a fishing Pier and boat launch that the locals use.. On the St. Lucie River, right by the dam. Located right off I-95 and the turnpike. It's only my second time going to the park and we love it..

Absolutely loved our second year staying at Phipps Park for a 3 week stay. It's great for walking, biking and relaxing. The concrete sites are mostly level and long. Full hookups and great views from the waterfront sites. Only negative is the main road is not paved and everything (Vehicles, campers, bikes, gear) gets covered in dirt/dust. There is some road noise from 95, but it's minimal. It's a bit on the pricey side considering they don't have a pool. I recommend staying here.

This is a throw back memory to when Phipps had amazing tent camping allowed, so sorry to see it go. The adventure tents were an interesting idea, but crazy buggy, hot, and too far from vehicles and bathrooms. There was nothing better than pulling up my car and camping a night or two, with friends or solo, always felt safe, and friendly people around. The mosquitoes could be fierce if you didn’t get the campfire going in time, but I only made that mistake once. I used to bring my bike and go riding around a bit, lay out in the sun and take naps. You could scoot your tent into the shade and an air mattress was definitely worth the investment. Another reason having the car next to the tent was convenient, I could use the car lighter adapter to blow it up. I wish they’d bring back tent camping, ⛺️ we used to go several times per year. I didn’t give a five star rating because of that, but I would’ve given five stars if they still allowed it. Bathrooms and showers clean and safe.

I’ve never stayed in an adventure tent before, and this is something I wish was more available elsewhere. The booking process was a breeze. Checking in I found out you cannot drive to the tent campsites. The staff, who was incredibly kind and helpful, offered to take my heavy gear in a cart. I see why they do that as the campsites are beautiful without the tire tracks and parking. It felt like camping in the scout days. Bonus points for the wildlife and location. The only downside is the loud overpass nearby and the lack of activities in the park. Although I was happy to just stay at camp. Adventure tents need to be more common at other parks, I will be back just for that experience alone.
